Arthur Leroy Jackson

Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mr. Leroy Jackson, 65 of Hartselle Alabama. Mr. Jackson transitioned on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. A Memorial Service  will be held at a later date.

Mr. Arthur Leroy Jackson was born on July 25, 1956 to the late Arthur Leroy McAfee and Addie Mae Jackson in Lawrence County, Alabama. He departed this life on September 23,  2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur, Alabama.

He graduated from Lawrence County High School, where he enjoyed being a student. He worked numerous jobs as a young man. We most remember him for his love of repairing cars as a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his father; three siblings, Arthur Leroy McAfee,  Bobby Jones and Rosetta Lynn Elliott,

Mr. Jackson leaves to cherish his memory; a son, Arthur Leroy Thompson (Keia) of Decatur; his mother,  Addie Mae Jackson; sisters, Maple Bumpus, Patricia Davis and Demetra Strong all of Decatur; brothers, James Curtis Jones, Michael Jones (Carla), Melvin Jones, Joel Jones (Leaester);  grandsons, Jakese Thompson, Arthur Leroy Thompson, Jr.;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
