Betty Jean (Mack) Turney

Graveside Service for Mrs. Betty Turney, 77 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 am on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Calvary Memorial Gardens with the Rev. De'Angelo Wherry officiating. Public viewing will be Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Betty Jean Mack Turney was born in Decatur, Alabama on May 9, 1943 to the late Joseph Mack and Helen Bessie Stegall Mack. She departed this life on June 5, 2020 at the River City Health and Rehab Center in Decatur.

Betty Turney was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, MacArthur Turney, Sr. and a son, MacArthur Turney, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Joe Turney (JoAnn), Jennifer Turney, Vickie Peterson and Beverly Wherry (Bret); grandchildren, Neisha Turney, Krystal Turney (Somsak Frye), Tyesha Turney (Lastanley Malone), Toni Overton (Chase), Nikko Peterson,  Dwight Jones, Brittany Turney; great grandchildren, Julien Peterson, Carter Peterson, Emery Peterson, Liam Overton, Layton Overton, Zoey Jones, Ty’Quavious Davis, Zulri Frye and Elijah Frye; two sisters, Gerldine Singleton and Sheila Mack; two brothers, Larry L. Mack and Joseph Mack; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
