A Celebration of Life for Ms. Bonita Preston Williams, 76 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 27, 2021 at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00 PM till 6:00 PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Ms. Bonita Preston Terrell Williams 76, was born on February 17, 1945 to the late Moses Preston and Margaret Martha Jenkins Preston in Cincinnati, OH. She went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2021 at her residence.
She graduated high school in Birmingham, AL. Her first job was at Hayes Aircraft. She later worked as a domestic worker at homes and as a caregiver to many.
Bonita was raised in the church with her mother being an ordained minister. Moving to Decatur she joined Pentecostal House of Prayer under the leadership of the late Reverend A. C. Strong. After moving to Detroit she worked faithfully at Faith Temple Apostolic Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Apostle and Mother Waiters.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; ex-husband, Edward Terrell; brother, Nathaniel Godfrey; sister, Florice Jones; two sons, William Edward Preston and Jackie Robinson, Jr.
Ms. Williams leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Margaret Preston Lampkin (Daniel), Christina (Demetrius), Unice, Rochelle (Letorion) Paul; three sons, Jonathan, Christopher and Kevin; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.
