Bonnie Sutherlin Obituary

Graveside Service for Mrs. Bonnie Sutherlin, 52 of Decatur, Alabama will be Thursday, September 3, 2020, 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Gardens, with the Reverend Dr. G. Lynne Herring officiating. Public viewing  will be Wednesday, from 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Bonnie Stilley Sutherlin was born in Winston Salem, N.C. on January 28, 1968 to the late Kenneth Stilley, Sr. of Lincoln, AL and Patricia Vaughn Stilley  of Decatur, AL. She departed this life on August 29, 2020 at her residence.

She started her Christian journey at Fairview Baptist Church in Athens, AL.  She attended West Limestone High School.

Bonnie was united in Holy Matrimony to Rance Sutherlin, Sr. on December 4, 2005, at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Decatur, AL.

She was definitely an Auburn Tiger FANATIC !!! The economy will take a huge hit without her enjoying her hobbies as a decorator, shopping, the enjoyment of frequently visiting the nail salon and yard sales.   She was truly passionate about gardening and being a dog-mom.

Bonnie was a cherished and loveable server at Barnhill’s with her kind, friendly and outgoing personality. Her next journey was “Momma Blues” and then Calhoun. She also had a few commercial buildings that she maintained through their cleaning service.

She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Stilley, Sr.

Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Rance Sutherlin, Sr.; her mother, Patricia Stilley Vaughn of Decatur; step-children, Thomas Black, Subrina Long, Tracey Sutherlin, Rance Sutherlin Jr. (Kendria), John Sutherlin (Amber) all of Decatur, Nicole Chapman (Gregory) of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Cindy Stilley of Athens, AL and Teresa Stilley (Ray Case) of Lincoln, AL; one brother, Kenneth  “K-2” Stilley, Jr. (Sharon) of Cullman, AL; one sister-in-law, Doris Franklin (Rev. Edward) of Decatur; 12 step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
