Brandi Ladana ("Moon Pie") Taylor

A Celebration of Life for Ms. Brandi L. “Moon Pie” Taylor, 25 of Moulton, Alabama will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Moulton Church of Christ with Bro Dewayne Tapscott officiating and Bro. Stanley Boyd eulogizing.  Inhumation will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.

“Moon Pie”, as she was affectionately called by all that knew and loved her, was the loving daughter of Jennifer Boyd Taylor and Frank Taylor (Ann).  She was born to Beatrice Carter, September 13, 1992 and claimed her wings to eternal life on Friday, May 25, 2018.

She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age at Moulton Church of Christ.  She graduated from Lawrence County High School in 2011.

Moon Pie enjoyed music, cooking, fixing hair, spending time with family and friends, and most of all she loved being a mother to her son.  She was loved by all who came in contact with her and her bright smile.

Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by her grandmother, Francis Taylor; a special great aunt and great uncle, Roy Lee and Pauline Taylor; two aunts, Ella Webb and Beverly Boyd; one uncle, Ira Boyd; two nieces, Heavenly Robinson and La’Kien Griffin.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her only son, Demorrious Hampton; eight sisters, Brandee Robinson (James), April Elliott (Patrick), Latasha Calhoun (Earl), Ayana Tarver, Beonica Taylor, Jasmine Taylor, Shakayla Johnson and Shaneal Johnson; three brothers, Frank Taylor (Bridgette), Josh Smith and Chandler Bufford; a special brother, Jaron “Dez” Hood;two special cousins, Jaden Smith and Jabrill Carlisle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Flower bearers will be Akilah Mitchell, Kawonia Hullett, Reykia Pointer, Fallon Voss, Kanesha Pruitt, India Priest, Charitee Taylor, Marina Mason and Jasmine Knopp

Pallbearers will be Patrick Warren, Kenny McDaniel, Eric Boyd, Dez Hood, Durman McDaniel and Keith Boyd.
