Celebration of Life Service for Miss Caridad Stripe, 30 of Decatur, AL. will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Moulton Heights M.B. Church with the Rev. Steven Little, officiating and burial in Decatur City Cemetery. The family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Caridad Carol Stripe was born to Rogelio Smith and Debra C. Hardin on October 22, 1986 in Chicago, IL. She departed this life on August 7, 2017.

She attended school in the Decatur City School System.

It was love at first sight. Nicholas Waugh and Caridad Stripe met in July of 2016 and it never took long for Nicholas to express his undying love for her. They were married on September 28, 2016.

She worked as a D-boner at Wayne Poultry. Caridad never met a stranger. She loved talking to people and had many friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving husband, Nicholas Waugh of Huntsville, AL; two children, Khamaiya Stripe and Quintez Stripe of Decatur; her parents, Rogelio Smith and Debra Acosta; brothers and sisters, Pedro Acosta, Rosalinda Smith, Alicia Acosta, Rogelio Stripe, Mikal Atchley, Eddie Stripe; a special nephew, Rashad Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers and Flower Bearers will be family and friends.

There will be a repast held at The Carrie Matthews Center on Friday from 4:30pm-6:00pm.
