A Celebration of Life for Mr. Carnell “Carl” Campbell, 77 of Hillsboro, AL will be 1:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2025 at David Temple “Word of Faith” Church with Bishop Curtis Foster officiating. Inhumation will follow in Foster-Davis Cemetery. Mr. Campbell will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Saturday from noon to 4:00 PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Carnell (Carl) Campbell was born in Hillsboro, Alabama to the late Mr. Jesse Campbell Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy White Campbell. He was reared by his grandmother, Mrs. Willie Mae White. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined David Temple P.B. Church, where he faithfully served as a Deacon for many years. He remained faithful until his health began to fail. His commitment to the church and his faith remained steadfast until his health began to decline. Carl peacefully transitioned from this life on Wednesday, August 06, 2025.
Carl received his formal education at Tennessee Valley High School in Hillsboro, Alabama, where he graduated May 19, 1967. Following high school, he entered the workforce and dedicated himself to over 45 years of faithful service. He retired from General Motors/Delphi, where he was a valued and hardworking employee.
Carl took great pride in his yard and garden, finding joy and peace in every moment spent outdoors. Whether he was planting vibrant flowers, trimming hedges with care, or tending to his vegetable beds, his love for the land was evident in every detail. His home bloomed with life each season, a reflection of his dedication and the quiet happiness he found in nurturing nature. His yard was more than just grass and soil—it was his sanctuary, and his legacy will live on in the beauty he cultivated.
Carnell was united in marriage on June 15, 1981, to the late Ms. Patricia Ann Campbell. To this union were five children: Alfreda Davis Suggs of Hillsboro, Alabama; Nekita (Gerry) Mitchell of Birmingham, Alabama; Travis (LaTasha) Campbell of Decatur, Alabama; Tarrance (Aundria) Campbell of Hillsboro, Alabama; and Torrious (Cheree) of Memphis, Tennessee;13 grandchildren, Denzel, Tatyana, De’Azsha, Kaila, Kelsey, Zyia, Tyell, Savannah, Madison, Reagan, Kolby, Tarrance Jr., and Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Marley, Skyleigh, Kyzer, and Koah; four siblings, Shelia (Robert) Kimbrough, Charles Campbell (Deceased), James (Brenda) Campbell, Jesse Campbell Jr. and a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
