Carolyn (Holden) Jackson

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Carolyn Holden Jackson will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019  at 12:00 pm, at Reynolds Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Minister Johnny Crowder officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Athens, Alabama. 

Carolyn Holden was born on September 5, 1964 in Decatur, AL to William Thomas and Carrie Holden.  She departed this life on September 14, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur, AL.

She was a 1982 graduate of Decatur High School and later attended Calhoun Community College. Carolyn was fun loving and a very outspoken person just like her grandmother, Mary Harris.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Mary Harris, Edgar, Lizzie Mae Milam and nephew Carlos Holden.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Charlandria Jackson, Kendrick Jackson and Roger Jones all of Decatur; four precious grandchildren, Ariyon and Azariyel Evans, Jeremiah and Jaidyn Jones of Decatur; her devoted parents, William Thomas and Carrie Holden of Decatur; two sisters, Linda Allen (James) and Kasandra Holden of Decatur; one brother, William Holden (Aretha Smith) of Decatur; three nieces Tinisha Allen, Lakresha Cosby (Tray) and Azaria Coleman (Mose); five nephews, Casey Holden of Town Creek, AL, La’Marcus Allen, Brandon Miller, Tony and Martice Garrett, all of Decatur; one aunt, Lois Brown (Jimmy) of Decatur; a devoted cousin, Linda Milam; a special friend, Lauro Ann Smith both of Decatur; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
