Cedrick Eugene Garrett

Funeral Service for Mr. Cedrick Eugene Garrett, 42 of Tuscumbia, Alabama will be noon Tuesday at St. Stephen P.B. Church with Elder Michael Clopton officiating and the Reverend Bobby Gildon eulogizing. Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will be lie in repose an hour prior to service. Public viewing be Monday from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Cedrick Eugene Garrett was born on October 16, 1981, to the late Shelia Marie Garrett and his father Larry Edward "Kang" Qualls. He departed this earthly life for his heavenly home early Monday morning, October 7, 2024 in Tuscumbia, AL.

Cedrick confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Wayman Chapel A.M.E Church in Decatur, Alabama.

He attended School in Leighton AL in the Colbert County School System and later in Decatur, AL in the Decatur City School System. 

Cedrick never met a stranger no matter where he went. He loved everyone. He enjoyed his social life especially with his family and spending time at the Casino with his mom before her health failed. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his grandparents, Alberta and Eural Garrett, Ms. Alice Carter; one brother; Tyrone Garrett; one uncle, Eural Lee Garrett Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: siblings: one sister, Shenicka Garrett of Tuscumbia, AL; three brothers, Edward Garrett of Decatur, AL, Michael Garrett of Sheffield, AL and Robert Garrett of Mississippi; five aunts, Patricia “Gail” Williams (Clifford) of Huntsville, AL, Sherrie Brown, Teresa Bolden (John), Annie Woods and Joshua Garrett all of Decatur, AL; one uncle, Rodney E. Garrett (Debra) of Decatur, AL.; one great aunt, Dorothy Swopes of Decatur, AL; and a host of other beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends; and special friends of the Garrett family, Faye Kellam Koger, Dorothy Jean Kellam, Janet and Marie Kellam All of Tuscumbia, AL.
