Charles Phillip Pointer Jr.

A Celebration Service for Mr. Charles Phillip Pointer Jr., 30 of Moulton, AL.  will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Gibson Chapel Methodist Church in the Oakville Community of Lawrence County, AL with The Reverend Robert Yarbrough Jr., officiating.  Interment will follow in Lindsey Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Monday from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Charles Phillip Pointer Jr was born to Charles Phillip Pointer Sr. and Teresa Bush Pointer on June 14, 1988 in Morgan County, Alabama. He transitioned in Decatur, Alabama on May 8, 2019 to his eternal life.

Phil as he was affectionately known by all who knew him was a 2007 graduate of Lawrence County High School in Moulton. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. Phil lived his life “to the fullest” and left a lasting impression and a contagious smile with everyone he encountered. With Phil, it was always an adventure. He loved being outside, fishing and “fixing” things! 

He leaves to carry on his legacy: two sons, Jayden Pointer and Charles (CJ) Phillip Pointer III. of Decatur, AL; his father, Charles Phillip Pointer Sr. of Oakville, AL; mother, Teresa Bush Pointer of Decatur, AL; fiancé, Jessica Morris of Hartselle, AL; one brother, Bernard Pointer (Mindy) of Town Creek, AL; three sisters, Taroashasta (Shay) Hawkins, of Moulton, AL, Jennifer (Laron) Nicholas, of Hillsboro, AL and Brittany Pointer of Oakville, AL; grandparents, Tracine Bush of Decatur, AL and Hazel Pointer of Moulton, AL; great-grand parent, Nadine Lee of Louisville, KY; ex-wife, Kierstan Pointer of Decatur, AL.; six uncles, five aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Flower Attendants will be Kenya Moore, Kayla Orr, Lexie Orr, Pinata Orr, Starr Orr, Ranikia Pointer and Aundie Tucker.

Pallbearers will be Chris Burgess, Steve Bush, Tavarius Chatman, Tay Fitzgerald, Chris Pointer, Malik Strickland, Tayi Strickland, Brandon Taylor and Tyler Woods.
