Homegoing Services for the Reverend Connie Sue White, 62 of Decatur, Alabama will be Noon Saturday at St. James CPCA Church with Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Inhumation will follow in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. The Reverend Connie White transitioned on March 19, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Crittenden in West Memphis, AR.
Connie Sue White was born to the late Albert Elliott and Lurlean Points on January 23, 1961 in Morgan County, Alabama. She departed this life and took her eternal rest on March 19, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Crittenden in West Memphis, AK.
The Rev. White confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Wayman Chapel AME Church under the leadership of the Rev. Spearman. She later united with St. James C.P.C.A. under the leadership of the Rev. Michael Jones.
Connie White graduated from Decatur High School in 1979. She was self-employed, operating a home daycare for over 20 years.
Rev. White was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terry White, one brother, Eddie Nelson, Jr.; a guardian child, Rachell Hawkins.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Washanta White, Terri White McDaniel (Rickey) and Taneisha Taylor all of Decatur; two brothers, Bobby Elliott and Albert Elliott of Decatur; three sisters, Jonia Taylor, Janice Thompson and Dorothy Franklin, all of Decatur; grandchildren, Lashanna Taylor, Statriana White, Jaterrian Anderson, Traneisha Taylor; great grandchildren, Tamarcus Taylor, Tay’Riah Taylor, Danarris Lampkin, Harrekus Taylor, Sa’Riyah Taylor, Ja’Niyah Collier, Ka’Mari King her guardian children, Khadyah Johnson, Demetrius Johnson, Sherri Gholston and children Stephon and Donvan Gholston; brothers-in-law, Chris Franklin, Oliver Wilson, Paul White all of Decatur, Eddie White of Muscle Shoals, AL, William Belue of Tuscumbia, AL; sisters-in-law, Nellie White and Lue Bertha White all of Decatur, Dorothy Kellam, Laura Belue and Juanita Belue, all of Tuscumbia, AL; five aunts, Sara Boykin, Elizabeth Swoopes (William), Linda Watkins (Andrew), Ernestine Elliott, Revelle Elliott all of Decatur; special niece, Mary Harris; special nephews, Charles McDonald, Demetrius Cowley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other friends.
