Graveside Service for Mr. Cortez Randolph, 40, of Decatur, Alabama will be 1:30PM Sunday at Sterrs Cemetery with Pastor Vicky Jackson officiating. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Cortez Pierre Randolph was born in Decatur, Alabama in November 21, 1983, to Diane Randolph Clark and the late Lawrence Henry Green. Mr. Randolph became ill and gained his wings on March 3, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Cortez confessed his life to Christ at an early age, and again in 2014. Life was changing for Cortez and he wanted to change with it. “Bologna as he was affectionately called by all who knew him was now transforming into Mr. Cortez Randolph. Cortez decided no matter what the devil would throw his way, he was going to put on the whole armor of God. Needless to say, Brother Randolph was more than determined to spread the Word of God.
Mr. Randolph wrote and published his first biography Broken, Healed, and Surviving in a Wheelchair. He also became a role model and motivational speaker to the youth in the school system and detention centers. Cortez was a digital promoter of social media with his Walk With Me Organization.
Cortez preceded in passing by his: grandmother, Laura Mae Randolph and grandfather Robert Lee Randolph; aunt, Joyce Ann “ Auntie Mama” Randolph Wiggins.
He leaves to cheris his memory: two sons, Cortez P. Randolph Jr. and Khilan Chavez Randolph both of Decatur; his mother, Diane Randolph Clark; siblings, Maurey (Candace) Randolph, Lamar Burch Priceville, Quentin Green, Nicholas Kennedy, of Decatur, Katrina Parker, Atlanta, GA, Franchesca Randolph (Kirby) KIng of Florence, Candice Tapscott Gasden, Andreta Green, Andrea Stovall, and Brittney Green of Decatur and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and close friends.
He fought a great fight and God saw fít to say “WELL DONE". He will be missed and forever loved by many. "UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
