Curtis Roy Hubbard began his earthly journey on October 6, 1938, in Lawrence County, Alabama, born to the late Roy and Mafalda Hubbard. He entered eternal rest on February 3, 2026 at Huntsville Rehabilitation Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Curtis was a devoted father, grandfather, and cherished member of his family. He was educated in the Lawrence County School System before moving to Jackson, Michigan, where he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army. After his military service, Curtis dedicated his career to working as a maintenance engineer for the Jackson County Airport.
A man of many passions, Curtis enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards, but what he treasured most was the time spent with his family. His warmth, humor, and love for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Louise Hubbard; and his brothers, Connis Hubbard and Everette Hubbard, both of Moulton, Alabama.
Curtis leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Kimberly Wade of Lansing, Michigan; Charise Edwards of Courtland, Alabama; Curtis D. Hubbard of Jackson, Michigan; Lasaadia Jones of Huntsville, Alabama; and Runako Hubbard of Jackson, Michigan. He was also a proud grandfather to his special grandchild, Shavon Glenn, along with seventeen other grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He is further survived by two sisters, Linda Williams of Decatur, Alabama, and Della Roseman of Cincinnati, Ohio; special nieces Chrisanthia Hubbard and Kelia Hubbard of Moulton, Alabama; Yolanda Taylor of Jackson, Michigan; and Tori Elmore of Live Oak, California; one special nephew, Gary Hubbard of Moulton, Alabama; two special godchildren, Lisa Hardman and Brian Cotton of Jackson, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though he is deeply missed, Curtis’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate to know him.
