Darryl Antonio (" D") Scruggs

Funeral Service for Mr. Daryl Antonio Scruggs, 63, of Goodwater AL, and formerly of Decatur, AL will be 11:00AM Saturday in the Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenneth Owens officiating.  Mr. Scruggs will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. Mr. Scruggs transitioned January 2, 2026, in Goodwater, AL. 

Mr. Darryl Antonio Scruggs began his earthly journeyon May 1, 1962, in Morgan County, AL. to the late
Theodis Melvin Scruggs, Sr., and Annie Arletha Johnson Scruggs. He entered into eternal rest on January 2, 2026. He began his dedication to the Lord by becoming a member
at young age at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the East Lawrence graduating class of 1981.Darryl later moved to Goodwater, AL, where he wed Debra
Moon Scruggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Theodis M. Scruggs, Jr., Robert J. Scruggs, Floyd G. Scruggs, Prince L. Scruggs, and Prentice L. Scruggs, and daughter, Denise Moody Stripe. He leaves to cherish his memories: his sons, Deangelo Troup, Jabari Draper, and Darius Moody of Decatur, AL; daughter, Micayla Graham of Goodwater, AL; stepson, Tony Moon of Goodwater, AL; grandchildren, LeAngela Troup, Darius Lamont Moody, Kimbra Fagan, Caliyah Clay, Kilmerian Moody, Ja’marion Stripe, Kamoria Moody, and Aiyana Gilbert; step grandchildren, Marquise Moon (Amber), Trent Moon (Kendra), Devonta Moon, and Tylon Moon; one brother, CarlM. (Gladys) Scruggs; two sisters, Alma L. Stevens and Ednar
L. ) Bolden ; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Marva) Moon, Willie Nelson (Annette) Moon, and Bennie Ross Moon; sister in-law, Lesa Scruggs; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and a plethora of friends, including friends until the end Edward (Donna) Calhoun, Tony Watkins, Tony Dillard, and Olaf.
