Dave "Doctor" Willingham III

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018, 12;00 Noon, at Reynolds Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 12:00 Noon, with Minister Edward Powell, officiating. Public viewing will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Family Visitation Sunday, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Dave Willingham III was born the fifth of ten children to Dave Jr. and Clezelle Green Willingham on February 18, 1938 in Lawrence County, Alabama.  He entered eternal rest on September 12, 2018.  He accepted Christ at a later age.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Watkins Willingham, his parents, two grandsons: Michael McCoy and Richard Willingham, his siblings: Connie Dee, John Davis, Annie Mae, Libby Sue, Clezelle and George.

On November 25, 1959 he married Phyllis Ann Watkins.  They were happily married for 57 years, until her death, November 24, 2017.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Christilon (Martin) McLemore, of Philadelphia, MS; Mary Erives of Courtland, Al; Dave (Norma) Willingham IV of Hillsboro, Al; Reco Willingham of Yazoo City, MS; Diane Vinson of Hillsboro, Al; Caroline (Paul) Taylor, Janice (John) Bowling of Courtland, Al; twenty grandchildren; twentyseven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Sallie Verge Mason of Decatur, AL; Helen (Victor) Jacobs of Durham, NC; Pearl Duff of Creedmoor, NC; Christine (Bruce) Cal of Muscle Shoals, AL; one brother; Richard (Shirley) Green of Town Creek, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and other relatives.
