Donnie Loyd Aldridge Sr.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Donnie Loyd Aldridge Sr., 64 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Friday, October 7, 2022 at Reynolds Funeral Home with Bishop Cary W. Orr officiating. 

Donnie L. Aldridge Sr. was born on October 30, 1957, to the late Mary Frances Aldridge and the late Robert Maskin in Morgan County, AL. He transitioned from this life on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Decatur, Al.

He faithfully served the City of Decatur as a firefighter for 17 yrs. After which, he retired and pursued other paths in his life. Motorcycle riding, scuba diving, and cooking were some of his favorite hobbies until his eyesight started to fail. He always had a good story to tell and lived his life fully.

He is preceded in death by a son (Donnie Loyd Aldridge, Jr.), lifelong father figure (Elbert Sanders), and grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Harrison and Verlee Gray).

Left to carry on his memories are his children: Kawanna Stephenson, Donnie “Boo” Jones, and Donald “Black” Jones, a devoted twin brother, Ronnie Aldridge Sr., 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
