Earlean Sheffey

Funeral Service for Mrs. Earlean Sheffey, 78, of Moulton, Alabama will be 11:00AM Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Byler Road Church of Christ with Brother Nicholas Wells officiating. Inhumation will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens. Mrs. Sheffey will lie in repose one hour prior to service.

Public viewing will be Friday from 10:00AM until 4:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Earlean Boyd Sheffey was born to the late Roosevelt and Marie Boyd Truss on October 15, 1947, in Moulton, Alabama. Mrs. Sheffey was a member of Byler Road Church of Christ in Moulton, Alabama.

Earlean was one of the first African Americans to graduate from Lawrence County High School. Mrs. Sheffey was a former “ward secretary” at Lawrence Medical Center, for over 35 plus years. She cherished her work family.

Earlean was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jr. Roosevelt and Marie Boyd Truss; and grandson, Garcia Boyd.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving devoted husband of 60 plus years, Lionel Sheffey of Moulton, Alabama; three children, Garcia (Shelia) Boyd of Decatur, Alabama, Tonya (David) Fletcher of Moulton, Alabama, Kareem (Michelle) Boyd of Huntsville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Correy (Brandi) Boyd of Trinity, Alabama, Madison Boyd, Kendall Boyd and Alexander Boyd of Huntsville, Alabama; two greatgrandchildren, Corbin and Jake Boyd of Trinity, Alabama; A loving sister-in-law Mrs. Lula Sheffey of Moulton, Alabama; a special auntie; Bertha Nell Boyd McDaniel of Moulton, Alabama; one nephew, Gregory Sheffey of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; a special friend Sharon Pearson of Moulton, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
