Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Ms. Ella Dean Fennell, 60 of Decatur, Alabama who died on July 5, 2020 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Graveside service 11:00 am Friday at Shackelford Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday from noon to 5:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Ella Dean Sheppard Fennell was born on November 6, 1959 to the late Lassie Modaine Sheppard Mannings and Book McDaniel in Moulton, AL. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of United Christian Bible Church where she served in the choir and on the usher board. She was a faithful employee at Four Seasons Cleaners for 20 plus years.
She was a loving person that would help anyone She was an excellent cook and loved to host family gatherings. She was full of life and will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Melvin Fennell; one daughter, LaShanna Nichole Sheppard; one sister, Winnie Sue; Prince Orr; five brothers, J. D. Sheppard, Willie B.. Sheppard, Wayne Sheppard, Lonnie Hubbard and William Sheppard.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memory: one sister, Barbara Williams (Exon Jr.) of Hillsboro, two brothers, Jimmy Sheppard of Moulton, AL and Cacius Clay Sheppard of Huntsville, AL; a special friend, James Cordell Taylor of Decatur, AL; four stepchildren, Kenderick Milan, LaTrese Dancy, Eric Dancy and Mario Dancy all of Decatur; two special nephews, Fredrick Goode and Cordell Clay both of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
