Graveside service for Mrs. Elnora T. Miller, 89 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Saturday at Calvary Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be Friday from noon till 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller passed away January 14, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus .
Mrs. Elnora Taylor Miller was born in Decatur, Alabama on November 20, 1931 to the late Annie Bell Taylor and Wes Peoples. She departed this life on January 14, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital – Decatur General Campus.
She confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Jerusalem P. B. Church, where she attended until her health no longer allowed her to attend.
Elnora and her husband moved to Louisville, KY where she worked for a wonderful family. She took care of three children that she loved as her own, David, Hannah (Drew) Elnora. The bond lasted to the end of her passing.
One of Elnora’s favorite things to do was cooking for her family and friends. She absolutely loved to barbecue and was known by the family for her homemade sauce.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Acie Miller, three children, Edna Taylor Harris, Clarence Taylor and Delois Taylor; two grandchildren, Larry Williams and Keith Taylor; great great great grandchild, Jock Taylor, Jr; five brothers, Roosevelt, Frank and John Taylor, Ed Thomas Brown and Charles Brown; one sister, Isabel Pryor.
Elnora leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Dorthy (Larry) Williams, Carolyn Dixon and Bonita (Rico Undray) Pickett; two sisters, Betty Taylor and Pearlean Powers all of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
