Garry Wayne Jones

Garry Wayne Jones, 65 of Huntsville, Alabama was born August 1, 1958 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Lillie Mae Stone.  He went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2023 at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur, Alabama.

Mr. Jones accepted Christ at an early age and he loved the Lord with all his heart. He loved people as well.

Garry who was known by his friends as “G-Money” graduated from Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Michigan.  He then enlisted in the United States Army until he was discharged.  After serving in the Army, he relocated back to Huntsville, Alabama. He was disabled.

He was very outgoing and never met a stranger.  He loved to dress up and always made a fashion statement.  He loved music and played the guitar. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Lillie Mae Coppin; his grandmother, Octavia Stone and a host of aunts, uncles and other dearly loved family members.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his siblings, Cristavia Jones of Riverdale, GA Carolyn Davis of Huntsville, AL, Darlene Lane (Ruffin Boddie, III) of Atlanta, GA, Denise Davis (James Louis) Stewart of Decatur, GA; uncle, James Sylvester (Evelyn) Stone of Atlanta, GA; aunt, Corine Brock of Detroit, MI and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be  held at 1:00 pm Saturdays, December 16, 2023 at St. James P.B. Church in Huntsville with the Reverend James. S. Stone officiating.
