Gerard Lee (Woody) Woods Sr.

Mr. Gerard Jerry “Woody” Lee Woods Sr., age 62 of Decatur, Alabama passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois (Cook County) on February 1, 1957 to Lorraine Woods.

He was a self-employed brick mason for many years.  He also was a jack of all trade and could fix anything. He was a wonderful man, father, brother, husband and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his daughter, Jennifer Woods and brother Geno Florean.

He is survived by: his wife, Margaret Calvery; children, Adrian (Demetrius) Lampkin, Gerard Jr. “Tuesday” Woods all of Decatur and Ty Klocek of Falkville; grandchildren, Mark (Whitney) Thompson, Aaliyah Calvery, Mckenzie and Evan Klocek, Jada, Tamia and Mersadiez Kidd; great-grandchildren, Kyrus, Trace, Keelan, Kennedi, Scarlett and Kayne; siblings, Trudy (Richard) Zengler, Mike (Judy) Woods, Shirlee (Kyle) Bailey and Barbara (Sherry) Canaday; godson, Jason Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Gathering will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday June 25, 2019 at Reynolds Funeral Home.
