Graveside Service for Ms. Gloria Elizabeth Vines, 53 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11: 00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Calvary Memorial Gardens, with Bishop Barry Strong officiating. Public viewing will be Wednesday, from 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Gloria Elizabeth Vines (Catfish) was born in Gadsden, Alabama to the late John Frank Edwards and Barbara Ann Luckett Olds Edwards on October 31, 1966. She was was adopted by Albert "Bud" Elliott whom she was helping to take care of when she passed. She departed this life on August 28, 2020 at her residence.
She graduated from Albertville High School and worked as a housekeeper for over 30 years.
She gave herself to Christ at an early age. She attended St. Andrews Church of Grace in Decatur, AL.
Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Jerome Edwards, a sister, Joyce Denise Edwards and a special friend Fabian Andre Stewart, uncles, Sammy Dancy Jr., J. T. Johnson and Larry Poe.
Her memory will be cherished by: her adopted father, Albert "Bud" Elliott (Jean) of Decatur; her children, Shawanna Nicole Vines - (Adarius) of Birmingham, AL, Sidney Sinclair Vines (Chelsea) Nashville, TN; siblings: Johnny C. Stephens (Gracie Crozier), Valerie McDonald (Connie Dee), Jacqueline McDonald (Claude) both of Decatur, Rickey Edwards of Albertville, AL, Dorothy Franklin (Chris) of Decatur, Cynthia Crozier of Gadsden, AL, and Brian Eskine (Ezell), Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Jadah, Dashia, and Sydney; special grandchildren, Isaiah and Terrence; a special great niece, JaNiya McDonald; a special friend, Margaret Stewart; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
Due to COVID 19 regulations there will be no repast.
