Gunet M Cowan

A Celebration of Life Service for Gunet M. Cowan, 50 of Decatur will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Reynolds Funeral Home with Bishop Earnest Clay officiating. 

Mr. Cowan entered this life on April 16, 1968 in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late Martha Cowan (Ollie Stovall) and the late Hillard Little. He departed this life on February 23, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.

He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and presently fellowshipped with Living Way Apostolic Church in Town Creek, Alabama. 

He was reared in Lawrence County, Alabama and attended Courtland High School. He loved his grandchildren and his sister.  He liked his brother.  He was direct and was not shy with his words.  He was a die-heart Auburn Tiger fan and will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Martha Cowan, Ollie Stovall and Hillard Little; one brother, Joshua Tyrone Cowan.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Nikitia Bankhead; grandchildren, Harmonie, Mi’Leigha and Zendaya all of Decatur; two sisters, Mary Cowan of Decatur and Rosemary Blake of NY; brother, Joseph Cowan Sr. and h a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
