Hilda Jean (Lampkin) McComb

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Hilda Jean Lampkin McComb,  70 of Decatur, Alabama will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Reynolds Funeral Home with Dr. G. Lynn Herring officiating.  Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Hilda Jean Lampkin entered this life on December 29, 1950 in Danville, Alabama to the late W.H. Lampkin and Lula Marie Mason Lampkin. She departed this life on earth and went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Decatur General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. 
Hilda was a graduate of Morgan County Training School in Hartselle, Alabama.

She retired from Automatic Screw in Decatur AL after many years of employment, then later returned to work as a devoted care giver until the time of her death.

She accepted Christ at an early age and she fellowshipped with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  

Hilda was a loving and caring person who enjoyed living, having fun and never met a stranger. Most of all she loved her family including her children and grandchildren with all her heart, there was nothing she would not do for them. Hilda loved listening to her gospel music. Her hobbies included playing bingo and entertaining herself at the casinos.

She was preceded in death by her parents: W.H. Lampkin & Lula Marie Lampkin; one son: Tracy Lampkin; one grandson: Cornelius Morris; one sister: Robin Lampkin; two brothers: Dwight Lampkin and Ronnie Lampkin; one aunt: Stella Mason.  

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: two sons: Dwight Deon Lampkin and Marcus Mondez Lampkin both of Decatur, AL; Eight grandchildren: Brandon Garrett, Keyana Fuqua, Montaria Woods, Kwadre Lampkin, Hydia Townsend, Darrin Scruggs, Jada Scruggs, Kiari Lampkin, all of Decatur, AL; One great-grandchild: Kaior, of Decatur, AL; Siblings, two sisters:  Carolyn Gaiter and Natasha Lampkin, both of Decatur, AL; four brothers: Stephen Lampkin and Danny Lampkin both of Decatur, AL, Derrick (Olivia) Lampkin of Courtland, AL and Demetrius (Adrian) Lampkin of Decatur, AL; like a sister: Lottie Abbott of Decatur, AL; a very special and devoted friend that was like her daughter: Marilyn Woods of Decatur, AL; one aunt: Christine Allen of Hartselle, AL; two uncles: Leroy (Catherine) Mason of Chattanooga TN, and Henry Mason of Courtland, AL.; nieces and nephews: Tony, Nikki, Zach, Darrius, Mykelle, Kristan, Da’narrius, Larry, Shakima, Buel, Jaden, Robyn, Nasir and Sevyn; great nephews: Najee and Aamir all of Decatur, AL; and a host of other cousins, close relatives, and friends.
