Ike Davis Sr Obituary

 Funeral Service for Mr. Ike Davis Sr, 65, of Decatur, AL. will be noon Wednesday at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church with the Reverend Jimmy Bailey officiating. Inhumation will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Davis will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Ike was born on January 20, 1960, in Eutaw, Greene County, Alabama, to the late Mr. James Henry Davis and Mrs.Nazarene Mayes Davis. He departed this life on September 18, 2025, at Brookshire Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ike attended Courtland High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1978. He was employed by Container Recycling.

Brother Ike accepted Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Ike loved basketball, Alabama Crimson Tide football, and Louisville College basketball. Ike was known for his “smack talking,” but was fun to be around.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Queen Ester Rollins and Shirley Davis.

Ike leaves to cherish his precious memory: his children, Taris Birt (Kelley), Briea Davis, Ike Davis, Jr. (Natasha), Brandon Davis (Sydney), and Quincy Davis; siblings, Grant Mayes, Deborah Davis, Mike Davis (his twin), and Rachel Davis, all of Decatur; nine grandkids, Jordan, Landon, Drake, Harley, Jaida, Parker, Dakota, Michelle, and Niko; two aunts, Ruby Tarver of Jackson, New Jersey, and Louella Davis of Willingboro, New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
