Funeral Services for Mr. James "Jimmy" Elliott, 74 of Decatur, Alabama will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Benjamin Burt officiating. Inhumation will follow in Calvary Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Wednesday from 1:00PM until 5:30PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
James Edward “Jimmy” Elliott was born February 29, 1948 to the late Elex and Elsie Johnson Elliott, Sr. in Trinity, AL. He transitioned from this life on December 2, 2022 at his residence in Decatur, Alabama.
Mr. Elliott attended Moulton Heights School as a youngster. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Love Chapel CME Church. Jimmy retired from Decatur Utilities after 32 years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharon Denise Elliott; four sisters, Ruby Broughm, Leathan Hayes, Louise Elliott and Bernice Swopes; three brothers, Robert “John” Elliott, Elex Elliott, Jr. and Albert “Bud” Elliott; a niece, Connie Elliott; one brother-in-law, Willie Boykin; one sister-in-law, Wanda Jean Wilkerson Elliott
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Nasheca Bolding of Decatur; three daughters, Elizabeth Bone of Huntsville, Erica "EJay" (Kevin) Buford of Seoul, South Korea and Royalty Elliott of Decatur: two stepchildren, Makayla and Javion Carlin: one brother, Harold Elliott (Irene); three sisters, Sara Boykin, Elizabeth Swoopes (William), Linda Watkins (Andrew) all of Decatur; three sisters-in-law, Rebell Elliott of Trinity, Ernestine Elliott and Maggie Mosley both of Decatur,10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
