Graveside service celebrating the life of Ms. Joannie Ann Stover, 60 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Sterrs Cemetery with the Reverend Equator Black officiating.
Joannie was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on July 25, 1960 to John Leonard Stover and the late Mary Ann Elliott Stover. She departed this life on September 6, 2020 at her residence in Decatur, Alabama.
She attended school in Lawrence County, Alabama and had been employed at Nash Barbecue and Wayne Farms. She accepted Christ at an early age and currently was a member of United Christian Fellowship under the guidance of the Revered Equator Black.
Joannie was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was the life of the party. She had a contagious smile that would light up a room. She loved her family and would help anyone. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by: son, Deon Stover; her mother, Mary Ann Elliott Stover; and two brothers, Johnny Rene Stover and John Thomas Stover.
Her memory will forever live and remain in the hearts of: her children, Michael Stover (Tawana Harris) and Pierre Stover (Kiara Young) both of Decatur; her father, John Stover of Moulton; two sisters, Christine Orr and Vanessa Stover both of Decatur; two brothers, Wade Stover of Moulton and Marculus Elliott of Florida; eight grandchildren, Sierra Cowley, Trey Stover, Mikyah Stover, Janiyah Stover, Journey Stover, Malaysia Stover, Kylen Stover and Keyasiah Jefferson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
