Funeral Service for Mr. Kenneth Jerome Garth,52, of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 AM Monday May 13, 2024, in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Saturday May 11, 2024, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pmand Sunday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm
Kenneth Jerome Garth. A.K.A “Big Gee” and “Awesome” was born, March 17, 1972 in Decatur, AL to Gladys Jean Garth and Lawrence W. Jones, Sr.
Mr. Garth attended the Decatur City Schools. He was a construction worker. He was also a strong leader in his family. He loved everyone. He kept a Big Handsome Smile on his face and was a passionate man as well as a practical joker.
He was a member of St. James C.P.C.A., where he attended until his health began to fail.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Jones, Sr; two brothers, Timothy E. and Lawrence W. Jones, Jr. grandparents, Ms. Carrie L. Garth, Blasco Garth, Jim Mack Sr., and Pattie Jones.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his mother, Gladys Jean Garth; stepmother, Min. Brenda Jones; a very special friend, Barbara Richey; sisters, Mia L. Garth (Tim), La Tasha J. Garth (Richard), Donna F. Reynolds (Jamar), La Tonia A. Jones, Chanatia L. Jones, all of Decatur; brothers, Jeffrey O. Garth (Patreece), Clifton L. Jones (Katrinia) Terrance O. Jones (Markedda), Christopher L. Jones and Jamison R. Jones (Telisha) all of Decatur; special cousins and friends, the late Garland Brown, Lewis Garth, Jr., Jim Mack Jones, III, Tavoris Jones, Aundra Garth, Monica Garth, Angela Douglas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other cousins and many friends.
