Kenneth Eugene Young

Funeral Service for Mr. Kenneth Eugene Young, 77, of Decatur, AL will be noon Monday November 3, 2025 in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery. Mr. Young will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Sunday November 2, 2025 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Kenneth Eugene Young was born on July 11, 1948, in Madison County, Alabama to the late John Earl and Robbie Hurt Young. He passed this life on October 26, 2025 at the Decatur General Hospital. 

He was enlisted in the US Army where he served in the Vietnam War. Kenneth enjoyed cooking and being around family. As much as he loved family and friends, he was known to be a quiet, gentle person who kept to himself. He was an Operator at Monsanto in Decatur, AL. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by, his parents; and his sisters, Mable Campbell and Ruth Pearl Harris.

He leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Kevin Keith of Union Springs, AL and Eugene "Geno" Cowley Young (Tonya) of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Kevin Keith Jr., Kayah Keith, Kayla Keith, Keriona Keith, Myke McClain, Tequilla McClain and Rolando McClain all of Decatur; two brothers, Curtis Young of Chattanooga, TN, Willis Bruce Kennedy of Decatur; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
