A Celebration of Life for LaQuita Shanta Jones, 42, of Courtland be 1:00 pm Thursday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Courtland with the Reverend O. Christopher Neloms officiating and inhumation in Courtland Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Wednesday from 10-6 at Reynolds Funeral Home.
LaQuita S. Jones was born on December 19, 1978 in Courtland, AL to Helean Jones and William E. Jones. She departed this life on January 29, 2020 at the Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL.
She was a very devoted loving and caring mother and aunt who spoiled all of them like no other.
LaQuita was preceded in death by her father, William E. Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Janiya Lanaja Mason and Amara Milan Mason (Yozarinse Mason); four sisters, Tricia Jones, Tacarra Jones, Ash'Lee Jones and Janet Jones Pinckney: a brother, Travis Jones; four aunts, Nicole Mason (Paul), Anglia Carter (Keith), Ann Jones, and Emma Young; four uncles, Bruce Jones, Jackson Jones (Marcella), Thomas Jones (Lucita), and Ronald Jones (Joyce); a very special niece, Ashanti Jones; a special aunt, Marcella Jones; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends
