Larry Ray Bass

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Larry Ray Bass, 49 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Monday, January 27, 2020 at Bell P. B. Church with Bishop John Z. Gray officiating and inhumation in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Saturday and Sunday from 2:30-6:00 at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Life began in Decatur, Alabama for Larry Ray Bass on June 22, 1970 as the 6th child of Jimmy Jr. and Betty Jean Sheffield Bass. Larry passed this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at his residence in Decatur with his family by his side. He expressed his belief in Christ and connected himself with Springhill Missionary Baptist, now known as El Shaddai, under the leadership of Bishop John Z. Gray.

He graduated from Decatur Developmental High School, in May 1991. He later attended Calhoun Trade School.

He will always fill a place in the hearts and memories of his loved ones who remain; his mother Betty J. Bass; his father Jimmy Bass Jr. both of Decatur, AL; six sisters, Kathy Jones (Larry) of Cincinnati, OH; Teresa Cosby (AL) of Birmingham, AL.; Connie Smith (Ronnie), Stephanie Jones (Fred), Pam Bass all of Decatur, AL and Sierra Campbell (Felix) of Somerville, AL; one brother, Jimmy L. Bass (Helen) of Courtland, AL; seven aunts, Joyce Mayes, Janice Henderson, Beverly Henderson, Sonya Moseley (Charles) all of Decatur, AL. Rachel Allen of Town Creek, AL, Kathy Averette (Fred) of Houston, TX, Lillie Bledsoe of Chattanooga, TN; one uncle, Kenneth Henderson of Decatur, AL; three great aunts, Francis Johnson of Chicago, IL, Molly Thomas of Decatur, AL, Jereldine Henderson of Chattanooga, TN and host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
