Funeral Service with limited seating for Ms. Latasha T. Hurth, 44 of Moulton, Alabama will be noon Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Freeman Tabernacle Baptist with the Reverend Timothy Perryman officiating, Inhumation will be at 1:15 pm in Moulton Memory Garden with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
LaTasha Tane’ Hurth (Tasha) was born March 28, 1977, to Don and Lorraine Owens Hurth in Detroit, Michigan. She departed this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021, in Moulton, Alabama at her residence.
Tasha, along with her mother and twin sister, moved to Alabama in 1979. Years later her mother married Billy Maurice Petty and he became a father figure to her and her twin.
Tasha accepted Christ at an early age and joined Freeman Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Moulton, Alabama.
Tasha graduated from Lawrence County High School and from Calhoun Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked at Lawrence County Community Action Center for several years.
Tasha was preceded in death by her father figure, Billy Maurice Petty, grandparents, Orean Owens, Harry L. Hurth and Louella Pointer.
Tasha leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted daughter Jasmine Janae Phillips, Dallas, Texas who she affectionally referred to as “My Janae.” Tasha also leaves to cherish her memory a devoted mother, Lorraine Owens Petty, Moulton, Alabama; father, Bishop Don Hurth (Cassandra) of Decatur; sister, LaShawn (Sontreise) Banks of Madison, Alabama; a niece, Lauren Banks of Madison, Alabama; a devoted friend, Ronnie Allen of Huntsville, Alabama; aunts, Dr. Sharon Owens of Highland Park, New Jersey, Karen (Edward) Martin, Evie J. Robinson, and Jewel Lessears, all of Decatur, AL; uncles, Ray (Belinda) Owens of Decatur, Alabama; Rayburn Owens, Moulton, Alabama, Kent Owens of Annapolis, Maryland, and Roderick Petty of Moulton, Alabama; and a host of other relatives,
