Funeral Services for Mr. Lawrence" Chucky" Jones Jr.,48, of Decatur, Alabama will be Noon, Thursday at Moulton Heights M.B. Church with Bishop Cary Orr officiating. Inhumation will follow in Calvary Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Wednesday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Mr. Lawrence W. Jones Jr., “Chucky”, was born on October 3, 1974, in Decatur, AL to the late Deacon Lawrence W. Jones Sr. and Sis. Georgia Mosely. He entered into eternal life on Friday, January 6, 2023.

Mr. Jones accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Moulton Heights M.B. Church.

Mr. Jones attended the Decatur City School where he played football and basketball for the Decatur Red Raiders. He was also a member of the Class of “93”. 

Chucky worked several jobs including Reddy Concrete Mix and different promotional jobs. He also loved to cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence W. Jones Sr. and Georgia Mosely; and one brother, Timothy E. Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving stepmother, Min. Brenda Jones; four sons; Tedrick Kimmons; Zyrion Jones, Qui Tran Jones and Kiyan Jones; two daughters, A’yanna Jones and Law’ren Jones all of Decatur, AL; seven brothers, Jeffrey D. (Patrice) Garth, Clifton L. Jones (Katrina), Terrance (Markedda) Jones, Christopher Jones, Jamison (Telisha) Jones, Kenneth (Barbara) Garth, all of Decatur, AL and Travis Mosley of Miami, FL; five sisters, Donna (Jamar) Reynolds, Mia (Timothy) Garth, Latasha (Richard) Garth all of Decatur, AL, LaTonia A. Jones and Chanatia L. Jones of Huntsville, AL; six grandchildren, Taylan Kimmons, Kingston Kimmons, I’mani Kimmons, Naysa Williams, Kashton Owens and Ky’rielle Kimmons; a special friend Charissa Campbell; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
