Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Ms. Linda Jean Bouldin 53 of Decatur Alabama. Graveside service will be 2:30 pm Friday, February 12, 2021 at Decatur City Cemetery with the Reverend Tavarius Henderson officiating. Public viewing will be Thursday from 1:00-6:00 at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Linda Jean Bouldin was born May 5, 1967 to Gloria Bouldin Russell and William Swoopes in Morgan County, Alabama. She departed this life on February 4, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus in Decatur, Alabama.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Bell Primitive Baptist Church.
Linda attended and graduated from Austin High School with the Class of 1985.
She was employed at the Lurleen B. Wallace Developmental Center for 15 years and later at Wayne Farm for 13 years. Linda was a hard worker.
Linda was preceded in death by; her daughter, Sharonda Bouldin and her companion, David Gullatte, II; grandparents, Tempia and James Bouldin, Idella and Henry Swoopes.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Deidra Bouldin (Darion); husband, Charles Roberts; three grandchildren, Shadayia Gullatte, Lavadion Gullatte and David Gullatte, III; her mother, Gloria Russell; her father, William Swoopes; one sister, Carolyn Evans; nine aunts, Maxine Williams of Louisville, KY, Faye Harris (Theodore), Eliza Metcalf (Eric), Queen Maclin, Lottie Tucker, Loutecia Pickett, Willie Swoopes (Buster), Peggy Marks all of Decatur, Shirley Wooten of Huntsville, AL; three uncles, Clarence Bouldin, Clyde Bouldin (Melissa), Henry Swoopes of Athens, AL; mother-in-law, Naomi Boston of South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
