Linda Pearl (Dancy) Matthews

Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Linda Pearl Dancy Matthews, 61 of Decatur, Alabama.   A Celebration of Life and Graveside Service will be held at noon Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Sterrs Cemetery with the Reverend Michael Jones officiating. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Linda Pearl Dancy Matthews was born December 18, 1959 to the late Leon Chapman and Emma Doris Dancy Smoke in Decatur, Alabama. She departed this life on June 18, 2021 at her residence in Decatur, Alabama.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Pentecostal House of Prayer. She later united with Moulton Height Baptist Church and currently was a member of St. James CPA Church. She attended Decatur High School and was disabled.

She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Hosie Dancy, Micheal Dean Dancy and Darnell Dancy; one sister, Linda Shenae Dancy; and one nephew, Darrius McCoy.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Emma Doris Dancy Smoke; two sons, Andy (Ashya) and Quintarius Dancy; husband, Keith Matthews; five brothers, Melvin (Tonya) Dancy, William (Chelle) Dancy, Brad (Tequisha) Dancy, Leon Chapman, Jr., and Raven Chapman; nephews, Torrence (Jenae) Dancy, Deondra Dancy, Hosie Lequan Dancy, Reshad Dancy, Dakota Boyd, Zena Taylor; nieces, Mallory Dancy, Melanie Dancy, Myeshia Kingston, Keyshonda Ivy, Jaidn Marian, Deshawn Dancy, Alasia Taylor, Courtney Sykes, Myisha Sykes, Brittany Sykes, and Tiffany Sykes; in-laws, Chester and Bessie Matthews of Decatur and a host of other relatives and friends..
