Funeral Service for Mr. Lonnie White, 71, of Decatur, Alabama will be Noon, Wednesday in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Inhumation will follow in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Mr. Lonnie White was born in Decatur, Alabama on July 17, 1952 to the late Arthur Lee White and Margaret Johnson White. He went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2023 at his residence in Decatur, AL.
He graduated from Lakeside High School in Decatur, AL.
After moving back from New Orleans, he joined the St. Stephens P.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Eugene Lewis.
Lonnie was a master of carpentry. He was gifted with hands that could make anything, from roofing, painting and concrete finishing. Lonnie never met a stranger. Whoever he met, loved him and he loved them sincerely. Lonnie loved traveling the world viewing different sites. Lonnie was an all around “loved person”, that will truly be missed by all that he had met.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a son, Patrick Alexander; four grandchildren, Pasilee, Rayle, Malachia and Tori Alexander; two sisters, Margaret Varner (Charles) of Decatur and Alematia Brackins of Birmingham, AL; four brothers, Arthur White, Darris White of Decatur and Willie White of St. Claire, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
