Margaret Ashford

Reynolds Funeral  Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Margaret Ashford, 105 of North Courtland, Alabama. Mrs. Ashford passed away January 13, 2021 at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside Service for Mrs. Margaret Ashford will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Rocky Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy White, officiating.

Mrs. Margaret Ashford was born on August 15, 1915 in Lawrence County, Alabama to Dud and Delsie King. 

Mrs. Ashford was a member of North Courtland Primitive Baptist Church.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Major Ashford, who preceded her in death as well as her parents and her siblings. Although she had no biological children, she baby sat for many in the community and cared for them as they were her own.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her many nieces and nephews; two special friends, Demetrice White and Willodean Nash who constantly brought her treats or played the piano for her or just stopped by for a visit.
