Ms. Mary Ruth Bowman was born September 16, 1939, in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late James Frank Bowman and Laura Yarbrough Bowman.  She transitioned this life June 6, 2024, at her home in Decatur, Alabama.

Besides being devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and beloved by her family, friends, and co-workers, Mary was hardworking and dedicated to her craft and known by her peers and those in supervision as being a top producer at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Plant where she worked 31 years until retirement.

Ms. Mary Ruth Bowman was a member of David Temple Word of Faith Primitive Baptist Church where she confessed hope in Jesus Christ as savior, and where she was a loyal and faithful member, never forgetting her Christian commitment.
