A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Marye Denise Cable, 56 of Dallas, TX and formerly of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Stephens Primitive Baptist Church with the Reverend Christopher Collins, officiating. Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Ms. Cable departed this earthly life Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, TX after a long illness. She was born on August 12, 1964 in Decatur, AL the daughter of John Edward Cable Sr. and Betty Sue Brown.
She resided in Rockford, IL 26 years coming from Decatur and then Dallas, TX. She attended Austin High School, graduated from East High School, Rockford, IL in 1982 and attended Calhoun Jr. College, Decatur, AL in 1983. She was employed with the Rockford Public School District and Belvidere School District for many years prior to retiring.
Marye gave her life to Christ at an early age, becoming a member of Deliverance Crusader where she ministered to others through her powerful voice and gift of music.
She is predeceased by her mother, Betty Sue Brown, and maternal grandparents, the Reverend Willie and Maple Brown, and paternal grandparents, Isabelle and William Langford; and the Reverend John Henry Cable.
Marye leaves to cherish many loving memories; her five children, son Anthony Cable, daughters Sharnel (Anthony) Davis, Bettye Cable, Tryphaena Marks, Tanisha Cable; nine grandchildren, Trinity Davis, Brandon Gill, Cantrell Banks, Serenity Armstrong, Bradley Hardin, Zariah Prunty, Amaya Woodard, Amere Woodard, Martavian Marks; two great grandchildren, Brycen Marks, Marzah Marks; siblings, John(Monique) Cable, Willis Cable; father, John Edward Sr (Veronica) Cable; niece, Maya Cable; nephew, John (LJ)Cable and a host of other relatives and special friends.
