Melissa Jo (Ragon) Shelby

Mrs. Melissa Shelby,58, of Toney, AL. transitioned February 21, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children.  Born on August 2, 1966 in Decatur, AL, to Crawford and Bonnie Ragon, she lived a life of love, generosity, and faith. 

A Memorial Services will be 6:00PM Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Ardmore Station 30490 Ardmore Ave. Ardmore, AL 35739.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Ragon; her brother, Michael, and her sister, Kim.  

Melissa shared 40 wonderful years with her husband, Michael, and was a devoted mother to Angela and David, stepmother to Tina, and a proud grandmother to Raquel, Elias, Lincoln, Reagan, and Elinor. She is also survived by her father and stepmother, Crawford and Betty Ragon; brothers-in-law David, Billy, and Rolando; sister-in-law Debbie; and her best friend of 35 years, Pamela.  

Melissa had a heart for service, dedicating her time to helping others, especially the homeless and the St. Jude Foundation. She loved antique jewelry, Alabama football (Roll Tide!), and making life beautiful for those around her.
