Memorial Service for Mr. Michael Davis, 60 of Orange, TX and formerly of Decatur and Hillsboro, Alabama will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at God’s Love Covenant Church with the Reverend Regina Willingham officiating.
Micheal Davis, affectionately known as “Big Mike” was born on July 5, 1962, to the late Dale L. Davis Sr. and Queen Ester Foster Davis in Decatur, AL. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and departed this life on April 17, 2023, at his residence in Orange, TX.
He graduated from East Lawrence High School in 1980 and soon after he started working for International Paper. He enjoyed cooking, football, and basketball. Mike found peace in feeding the seagulls on the gulf, while listening to gospel music.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Santiega Paige Davis and first wife and love of his life, Carol King Davis, who are welcoming him home with open arms along with his parents and siblings: Dale L. Davis, Jr., Sarah Hamilton, Verdale Davis, George Davis (Mildred) and Charlie Davis (Rose).
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted daughter Lynnsy; devoted sons Michale (Roshawn) and Micheal Dale; loving grandsons Markell and Marshawn; six brothers Edward (Rhonda) of Hillsboro, AL; Ricky (Queenanne) of Alexandria, LA; Danny (Marie) of Decatur, AL; Donald Watkins (Janice) and Tony Watkins (Debra) both of Hillsboro, AL; and Vincent Watkins (Tamika) of Meridian, MS; four sisters Lucinda White of Madison, AL; Laura Cayce of Houston, TX; Matilda Thompson of Harvest, AL and Elesia Watkins Jemison of Hillsboro, AL; a spouse, Erica Davis and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
