A Celebration of Life for Mr. Nadis “CJ” Carlisle III, 37 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 am Friday, May 31, 2024 at Westside Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Keenan Nichols officiating. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service. Public viewing will be Thursday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home
Nadis Eugene Carlisle III entered this world on May 19, 1987, on the
Island of Guam. He was born with dual citizenship, he was a Guamanian/American. He departed this life on May 22, 2024 at his residence in Decatur, AL.
CJ was a stranger to none and a friend to all. He was loving and kindhearted, highly intelligent and thought he knew everything. He was never wrong and never right. He would give you his last and ask for nothing in return. His energy and infectious personality enveloped everyone he met.
CJ was called upon to preach one Sunday, with very little time to prepare.
It was the most profound, convicting message we had ever heard. So I ask you, as his self-titled message asked, “If God called your phone today would you answer it, or would you send Him to voice mail?”
CJ is survived by: his daughters, Mya LaShawn Jackson and Chloe Channel Jackson (Heather Maxie); his mother, Ava Jackson; father,
Nadis Carlisle Jr.; grandmother, Louise Jackson; sisters, Taketha Chana Washington (Cedric); Tanesha Chanta Bale` (Joseph), Treasure Carlisle (Amani and Noah), Trinity McCall (Jared), TriAnna Carlisle; brother, Trace Carlisle; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
