A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Ollie D “BB” Harper Marshall, 82 of Decatur will be noon Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Moulton Heights Church of Christ with Bro. Harold Wells officiating and inhumation in Sterrs Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Thursday from 2-6 and Friday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Ollie D. “BB” Marshall was born to Hattie Mae Harper Cater and Smith Thomas Huey in Limestone County, Alabama on April 6, 1936.  Ollie D. departed this earthly life at her home on December 29, 2018 surrounded by her family.

She was educated in the Morgan County School System and later received her diploma.

Ollie accepted Christ and was a faithful member of the Newcomb Street Church of Christ until her health began to decline.  Ollie was a homemaker that loved fishing, walking, visiting friends and neighbors, and even assisted her husband in his concrete business, but her love was always for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 61 years, Eddie Lee Marshall, Sr.; five daughters, Mae Sue Daily of Muscle Shoals, AL., Mitze (Dennis) Dunn of Madison, AL., Pamela Marshall, Coretta Marshall and Lachelle (Michael) Bradley all of Decatur, AL; four sons, Samuel (Stephanie) Marshall, Eddie Marshall, Jr., and Patrick Marshall all of Decatur, AL., Victor (Lisa) Marshall of Harvest, AL; two brothers, Willie Eddie Cater and David “DL” Cater both of Cleveland, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Ariel (Doris), Tarrian, Carey, Monique, Travis, Kathryn (Galvin), Victor,Jr., Chelsi, Shana, Randy, Whitney, Brianna, Dennis,Jr., Cierra, Derrick,Jr; 17 great-grandchildren,  Brandon, Taylor, Tyrah, Ayden, Landon, Calia, Zaria, Angel, Zayden, Jalen, Jamel, Jaelon, Daeshaun, Morgan, London, Makenzee, Camdon; two sisters-in-law,  Emma Hoyle of Alexander City, AL and Sarah (Lonnie) Ware of Atlanta, GA; a special cousin, Lucille Harper; close friend, Georgia Smiley and a host of other relatives and friends.

 A special thanks to Hospice of the Valley and Physical Therapist Sarita Scruggs Laurent.
