Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Pamela J. Lay,70 of Decatur, AL. Mrs. Lay transitioned July 28, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital.

Mrs. Pamela Jean Lay (Hamric), born on August 2, 1954, in Colona, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama. She was 70 years old.

Pamela was the daughter of Burly Hamric and Beverly Hamric (Gable). She grew up alongside her brothers Russell and Robin Hamric. Throughout her life, Pamela remained deeply connected to the Church of God and family values.

She shared many years of marriage with her beloved husband, Denver Lay, whose memory she carried with her after his passing. Together, they raised two children: a son, Christopher Lay, and a daughter, Lisa Robinson (Lay). Pamela took great pride in her role as a mother and later as a grandmother to Keegan Robinson and Aiden Robinson.

Pamela’s life was marked by enduring love for her family and the strength she showed through both joyful and challenging times. Her presence brought warmth to those around her, and she will be remembered with affection by all who knew her.

She is also survived by her brother Russell Hamric. She was preceded in death by her husband Denver Lay; her parents, Burly and Beverly Hamric; and her brother, Robin Hamric.
