Patricia’s Life Journey…
Patricia Ann Stevenson, affectionally known as “Toot-Nannie”, was born in Decatur, Alabama, to the late Rudolph Valentino Stevenson, Sr. and Lorene Garth Stevenson. She departed this life on July 8, 2024, at the Decatur General Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital.
She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and later united with Unity Fellowship M.B. Church under the leadership of the Reverend Patrick Franklin. She maintained her belief in God and stood strong in
her faith.
Patricia was educated in the Decatur City School System. She was a caregiver for many years until her health failed. She was a compassionate caregiver, and her efforts did not go unnoticed by the lives she affectionately touched. She was a loving mother to her only son, Joseph Maurice Stevenson, also known as “Lil Joe” and “Roller”. The two shared a bond that was inseparable.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Pearline Rice and Ollie B. Cohn; two brothers: Willie Lee Stevenson and Rudolph Valentino Stevenson, Jr.; two nephews: Travis Cohn, Jr. and Dennis Earl Cohn.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Joseph Maurice Stevenson (Lavania); grandchildren: Kwame Deloney, Camirah Stevenson, and Storsha Stevenson; one brother: Ira Lee Stevenson (Georgia); three sisters: Wanda Kay Stevenson, Janice M. Randolph and Betty Troupe; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
