A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, Noon, at True Faith Ministries Life Center with the Rev. Dr. G. Lynne Herring, officiating. His body will lie in repose one hour prior to the service. Public viewing will be on Friday, March 18, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Patrick Olandus Foster, Jr. was born to Patrick Franklin, Sr and Vickie Sue Swopes in Decatur, AL on March 5, 1982. He transitioned from this life on March 15, 2022 at his residence.
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Macedonia C. P. Church in America under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. G. Lynne Herring.
Patrick attended school in the Decatur City School System.
His hobbies included, reading, cooking, singing, especially rapping and wrestling. He was a true friend and loved being around his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Betsy Foster, D. O. Foster; Revelle Metcalf and Frank Franklin, Frank and Barbara Franklin Sr.; uncles, Frank Franklin Jr. and Ronnie Davis; a special cousin, Cedrick Foster.
Patrick leaves to cherish his precious memory: his mother, Vickie Foster (Ronald) Swopes; his father, the Rev. Patrick (Delorice) Franklin of Decatur; sisters, Besstina Foster, Kristy (Quinton) Harris, Jasmine (Marquis) Fuqua, Ingram Franklin and Tiara Willingham; brothers, Perez Foster, Andrew Elliott and Ronnie Elliott; aunts, Sharon Foster, Brenda Davis, Revelle Franklin, and Veronica Hudson (Michael); uncles, Deo Foster, Jr, Winford Swopes, Wendell (Miranda) Swopes all of Decatur, AL; grandmother, Katie Long of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
