Phillip Curtis “Poppa” Brown entered this life on August 26, 1958 to the late Celester Brown and Theo Bevels in Morgan County, Alabama. He entered eternal rest peacefully at his home on February 22, 2020 in Decatur, Alabama.

He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and joined David Temple PB Church where he was a faithful member and later united with St. James CPCA under the leadership of Pastor Michael Jones where he remained a faithful member until his health failed.

Phillip was a loving and caring person who really enjoyed life. He never met a stranger that didn’t become his friend. He loved his family, sports on TV, his Michael Jackson music, afternoon gospel singings on Sunday, but most of all he loved the Lord.
