Phyllis Ann (Morris) McDaniel

Funeral Service for Mrs. Phyllis Morris McDaniel,76, of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00AM Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Macedonia C.P. Church in America with the Rev. Karlon Fletcher officiating. Inhumation will follow in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Monday August 19, 2024  from noon until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Phyllis Ann Morris McDaniel was born in Morgan County, Alabama on April 28, 1948 to the late Lester Morris, Sr. and the late Lorene Perry Morris. She was raised by the late Beatrice Morris after the death of her parents. She went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2024, at the Decatur Morgan Hospital.

She attended schools in the Decatur City School System, graduating from Lakeside High School with the Class of 1967.

Phyllis was a happy and loving person that loved her family.
She was a great cook that loved cooking turnip greens and
cornbread, which was a family favorite. She was not only a
good homemaker, she was also a loving mother and
grandmother.

Phyllis was preceded in death by; her parents; three brothers
and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory; her husband,
Waymon McDaniel of Decatur; a daughter, Sharon Rice Orr;
stepdaughters, Wanda Turner, and Felicia Gaines; sons, Willie
Strong, Andrew Rice; stepson, Kevin Gaines all of Decatur;
nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; five sisters and
six brothers; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends
