Robert Wallace Clay

Funeral Service for Mr. Robert Clay, 79 of Hillsboro, Alabama will be 11:00AM Saturday June 22, 2024, in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. Inhumation will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday June 21, 2024, from noon until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Robert Wallace Clay was born on June 3, 1945 in Hillsboro, AL, to Cartieree Clay. He departed this life on June 13, 2024 at his residence in Hillsboro, AL.

Robert attended the Tennessee Valley Schools and graduated with the Class of 1963. He also attended Calhoun Community College in Decatur, AL.

Robert was employed at Decatur General Hospital as a dietician clerk for 35 years.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruthy (Warren) Dillard, Alice Clay and Gloria Clay-Joiner; one brother, James L. Clay; two nieces, Ke-Ke Clay and Angela D. Clay; three nephews, Ricky J. Horton, Gourland Horton (Windy) and Steven D. Clay.

Robert is survived by: a sister, Carolyn Jones of Houston, TX; and a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

  Mr. Clay passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at his residence.
