Roderick Lanier Fletcher

Funeral Service for Mr. Roderick Lanier Fletcher, 46, of Decatur, Alabama will be noon, Saturday April 13, 2024, at Lifeline Church with the Rev. Jerry Brown officiating. Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Public viewing will be Friday Saturday 12, 2024 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. 

Roderick LaNier Fletcher was born January 18, 1978, to the late Frances Fletcher and Willie Swopes of Decatur Alabama. He departed life on April 2, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.

To know Roderick was to love him. He was such a positive and humble being. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. You never saw him without a smile on his face. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Roderick is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James Fletcher, Robert Fletcher, Christopher Fletcher and Winford Swopes; two sisters, Karen Shackelford and Sharon Fletcher.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Jessica Danielle Fletcher; two daughters,  Makiah Fletcher, Makayla Fletcher; one son Makeylean Fletcher; three sister, Sandra Kay Fletcher, Nancy Carol Fletcher of Decatur, Al; Veronica Eutsay (Michael) Hudson of Madison, Al; two brothers, Ronald (Vicki Sue) Swopes of Decatur, Al,  Wendell (Miranda) Swopes of Leighton, Al; his mother-in-law, Edna Sue Gibson; two sisters-in-law,  Monica (Perry) Fletcher, Monica (Johnny) Strong all of Decatur, Al;  his best friend Chris “Shirly” McDaniel and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
